JERRON LOVE
STUDENT ATHLETE
Streetball.com

My goal is to be the first youth in many years to grace the cover of BOUNCE magazine. How can the Street Ball world ignore me any longer?

I'm excited about being featured in CROSSOVER magazine which is published in Spanish and circulated in Spain. So, that means most people in Spain should know of me by now as, the 13 year old basketball phenomenon from the United States. The Crossover magazine is awesome and the pictures are colorful, Brandon Jennings is on the front cover.

Antonio Gil did a full page article on me and hopefully soon an English language version will be available in America. I can't explain how it feels to be promoted in a different country because I love exposure.

My father would like for me to thank Ryan Mendez and G the Ceo of Streetball.com for putting me in their new street ball video game application for iphone and itouch. My teammate is Kenny Satterfield in the game. You can download it for $1.99. It's more fun and less expensive than 2k10 Lol.

Lastly, the ranking for class of 2014 were released and HOOP SCOOP ranked me #57 out of the top 150 players in the nation. The fact is if I were in the 8th grade that would be my rank (#4 in New York) ... But since I'm only in the 7th grade Clark Francis ranked me #10 for class of 2015. I'm #1 in New York City.

This weekend I've been invited to play in an exclusive middle school basketball event and I'll share with you the details of what happen in my next journal. Thank you for reading. JLOVE OUT!

P.S. Above and Beyond won our exhibition at Funsport and Rudy King gave me the work out of my life. I hit a buzzer beater baseline three pointer at the end of game, scored double digit points and made nice no-look passes to help assist my teammates.

                                                                          TOUCH DOWN
Today was community day at Riverdale Country Day School [the school I go to]. It is a tradition at the school where all of the Middle School students get together and help the community and talk about what they do for the community. After the wonderful community day at Riverdale Country School we were off to go to our first football game of the season. On the bus I was focused and determined because the team we were facing [Poly Prep] is the best team in our division. When we got to their school a hour later we were ready. We suited up, they won the toss. About the 4th play of their drive I had a guy one on one, I forced the fumble then recovered it, soon it was our ball. In the 3rd quarter coach called 28 toss [I was the starting running back], I faked left then caught the toss my full back blocked the left line backer, one person came up to me I faked right and slit through the inside of the field, one more guy came I shrugged him off and I was off into the races, I was determined to reach the end of the field and then some body grabbed a hold of my jersey held onto me and I thought the play was over but suddenly I broke the tackle from him and went off into the clear green in zone. Unfortunately we lost by a touch down but our team fought hard and the other team came on top. After the game I was waiting for the next game which is on Thursday and I was hungry for a win. Basically that was my October 2nd, this is Jerron Love and thanks for checking the diary.
J Love OUT!!

What's up basketball world, I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I like to thank God and Wiz for allowing me to write my journal
on Queens Hoops.

The exclusive middle school event I mentioned in journal #2 was
NYC vs. NJ at Jim Couch basketball Reunion Saturday games. It
took place at Kennedy high school in the Bronx, I got there late
from my Fun Sport game in Brooklyn. Just in time for the 4th
quarter, I scored 7 points in 8 minutes. The exposure was great
and I felt privileged to play in a benefit game.

Sunday, I went to Christ the King high school and was the reporter
for "NYC Basketball" at the 6th annual Metro classic. The Boro's Vs.
The Burb's met up in Queens and featured some of the best talent
in the Metropolitan area. My favorite player for the day was
Jabari Hines from Mount Vernon, he scored 33 points and won
MVP. Hines is a solid point guard with a consistent jump shot. It
was a pleasure sitting court side and observing the game.

I had the chance to interview Coach Tiny Morton and Shaquille
Stokes of Lincoln high school. My most intriguing interview was
with Howard Garfinkel (founder of 5 star basketball camp) who
received the Cecil Watkins life time achievement award. What I
learned from Mr. Garfinkel is if I miss a shot or make a turnover,
focus on completing my next big play.

Basically, I've been playing Fun Sport on weekends and hoping to
play the chip at Madison Square Garden. I'm also waiting for Rudy
King's next Right bounce event to be announced, I always enjoy
participating with my peers in a 'student athlete' environment. In
my next Journal you can read more of my life stories.

Happy birthday, Cloe Hymowits and Michael Gardener, my
schoolmates at Riverdale Country day school. Last week, we
celebrated their Bar and Bat Mitzvah in Manhattan.
