HARLEM FUNK

“together we chill” tournament on 119th street has been kicking up a lot of dust this summer – thanks to the hustle of commissioners dj Tedsmooth, g-bush and big tato. currently considered one of the hottest spots in the city, it’s no wonder new york’s top dogs are turning up in bunches. yesterday’s talent featured darren “luxury tax aka primal fear” philipp, “black diamond”, “stixx”, “the zen master”, “t-mac”, the glover bros. and a 13 year old ballhandling prodigy, who suited up and hyped to 300+ crowd with three funky assists, including a last second alley to the games most electrifying player, black diamond. darren philipp took home the “w” while he displayed his full skill set of fundamentals. stixx had a 40+ game in losing effort. Thanks to kevin couliau of asphalt chronicles for the great images!

Jerron Love is quick with the basketball and can get in the lane at will. Once Jerron Love aka "The 11th Wonder" hits the lane he either scores with the Tony Parker teardrop or dishes to a teammate. Be on the look out for Jerron Love in the class of 2014. Kanye West and Lil Wayne supply the music.

13 year old hoop phenomenon Jerron love recently made his debut at “together we chill” up in Harlem. a 13 year old! versus grown ass men! j-love was guarded by the “the zen master”, first reluctantly, then closely. Jerron’s team, that also featured Darren “primal fear” Phillip and the Glover brothers, was up by a dozen or so when “black diamond” caught this lob from the youngster in the final seconds of the game. he only played a couple of minutes in total and failed to score a point, but raked in 3 assists and displayed Lebron-like swag. something tells us we’ll be hearing more of Jerron love in the future …
