Yesterday at Holy Cross High School the day started out with the
top 20 players from the class of 2014. The red team beat the
white team75-63. Someone who definitely stood out to me was
Ahmad Alston 5'4 point guard (sorry, didn't get a chance to get
all of his info down. 1 person, 1 pen, 1 pad. I'm a rookie, LoL!)
was playing against Jerron Love, Jerron is a big name in the city,
everyone knows him as a great point guard and crafty ball
handler with great court vision and a high basketball IQ. Nobody
really knew Ahmad Alston in the stands but they did after the
game. Ahmad played very well against Jerron, it wasn't his
offense that had my eyes wide open, it was his defense. Ahmad
played very good full court defense on Jerron the whole game.
Jerron held his own and showed everyone that he was a legit PG
on the floor not trying to make the game a 1 on 1 match of the
year by setting his team mates up and running his squad, with
strong guidance of his father (Mr. Love) Jerron showed me
and everyone else that he is for real and not your typical
showboat NY PG. Ahmad Alston is name EVERYONE SHOULD
REMEMBER, the kid got a good skill set and plays with heart.

Just 10 Documentary: Feat: Jerron Love
Jerron Love has been focused for a while now. At age 10 he set
out to become the top point guard in the Big Apple. If you know the
history of NYC point guards then you understand that this is not an
easy feat. Love was willing to put the work in and showed the
dedication. I must say right now he looking like he’s on the right
road. Basketball Spotlight would like to share this experience with you
as we bring you the “Just 10” Documentary Featuring Jerron Love. This 3
Part Series will take you into the world of this youngster as you see
him train and hear from the people closes to him.

I got a chance to see Jerron Love last week at Lex’s 8th grade showcase at the Brooklyn Rec Center and came away impressed. Got an e-mail from his Dad today saying that he was going to make the 3:00 pm Middle School Game at JFK on 230th Street in the Bronx. For you backpackers, take the 1 train to 231st and hit 230th and go down 3 blocks. Kennedy HS is on the left.
Featured on Streetball.com and in Spain’s Crossover Magazine, could
Jerron be the next “Skip?” Come through Saturday at JFK in the Bronx
and check it out
